Due to promotion within the team we have a new opening for a full time Business Development Assistant. If you are enthusiastic about getting people active, have excellent customer service & sales skills and have an eye for detail then we want to hear from you.
As a Business Development Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative and sales support to the Sport and Leisure service, maintaining high levels of customer service with new and existing customers.
You will be responsible for important clerical tasks and financial administration, including the running of twice-monthly direct debit collections and processing of weekly income returns.
We are looking for applicants with strong organisational skills and a proven track record of providing excellent customer service. You will possess the ability to make and close sales, and work effectively as part of a team. Ideal applicants will have experience of using a Leisure Management system and knowledge of the current membership packages and services Ipswich Fit provides.
The hours of work will be full time, 37 hours per week, 9am - 5pm Monday-Friday. Job share to be considered.
You will be based at Ipswich Borough Council’s Sport and Leisure facilities.
